Ellen DeGeneres Gets Smacked by a Monkey (VIDEO)

On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Ellen DeGeneres explained that while at her farm, which she visits to escape the "mean streets of Beverly Hills," she recently noticed a movie filming just down the road.

During a visit to the set, DeGeneres met one of the stars of the upcoming film, a rather hairy actress who's appeared in 'The Hangover 2,' and both 'Night at the Museum' movies among others.

The movie, which stars Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson and Elle Fanning, is called 'We Bought a Zoo' and also features the well-known Capuchin. As the monkey sat on her shoulder, DeGeneres rattled off a long list of movies the animal has previously starred in.

"Basically, this monkey has worked more than me," said DeGeneres, while the animal grinned and enthusiastically beat the brim of her hat.
