How Not to Ask Eva Longoria for a Date (VIDEO)

Eva Longoria in (somewhat) newly single, having filed for divorce last year. On today's 'Rachael Ray' (weekdays, syndicated), Longoria spoke of the awkwardness of dating as a celebrity, and gave a hint about how not to approach her if you happen to see her and would like to ask for a date. She is not terribly approachable just "on the street," she said, at least for amorous advances. She's fine with her fans.

So here's the "don't": Longoria has been making appearances to support 'Eva's Kitchen,' her new cookbook. This is not the best opportunity for a cheesy pick-up line. "There's so many guys who are like, 'I'm gonna cook out of your book so you can come over' and I'm like, 'Aaaagh!'" she said. "Gimme the book back!"

So, not only will that approach earn you a rejection, Longoria will make a loud, unpleasant noise, and you may also lose your book. She mostly meets people through her friends. So the best plan is to meet and make friends with one of her friends first. Good luck.
