Paul Reiser Wrote New Show So His Sons Would Know He 'Did Something' (VIDEO)

According to Paul Reiser, his decision to come out of semi-retirement and star in 'The Paul Reiser Show' was inspired by an innocent question from one of his two sons, he said on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated).

After 'Mad About You' ended its run, Reiser decided to stay home and help raise his children. But, everything changed when one of his boys asked what he does as a profession, he said.

"About a year and a half ago, my little guy says, 'Dad, let me ask. What do you do?'" Reiser said. "He goes, 'The other dads, they do something. What do you do?' I said, 'I should probably do something. He needs to know that his dad can do something.'"
