Shirley MacLaine Tells Oprah About Her Love Life (VIDEO)

Shirley MacLaine said on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) that she was a "serial monogamist" for most, but not all, of her life. Winfrey asked if MacLaine had mostly had "love affairs" instead of "sex affairs." MacLaine said yes, except this one time on the campaign trail.

MacLaine said she'd had an "awful lot of lovers" and "a lot of awful lovers." She was never one for "sexcapades," she said, but she did try it once. "I had three people in one day," she said. "It was on a political campaign where everybody was doing the same thing. I just didn't want to be left out."

It's comforting to see how little politics has changed over the years.
