Brooke AndersonHLN anchor Brooke Anderson is stepping into 'The Insider.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Anderson will replace departing host Lara Spencer.

"I'm a huge fan of Brooke both professionally and personally," Linda Bell Blue, executive producer of 'Entertainment Tonight' and 'The Insider,' said in a statement. "I've admired her work on HLN and am thrilled that she is joining our 'Insider' family.

"Brooke is such a well rounded broadcaster -- smart, inquisitive, experienced, and grounded," she said. "She's everything you'd want in a co-anchor and the perfect fit to sit at 'The Insider' desk with our Kevin Frazier."

In March, Spencer announced her upcoming departure from 'The Insider.' She'll be returning to ABC News as the lifestyle anchor on 'Good Morning America.'

Anderson currently serves as an entertainment correspondent for CNN and the co-host of HLN's 'Showbiz Tonight.' She started with the network in 2000.

Yes! It takes a lot of talent to READ off a prompter. The insider (thank God that other moron is gone you know the guy who was a lawyer that is now in a car diagnostic commercial) Ugh. I like Kevin. He doesn't act like Mr. Know It All. Plus isn't it about time we get some DIVERSITY ON THESE PROGRAMS?

Who cares? This position could be filled by any high schooler since that is the level of the so-called reporting this show offers.
