Stephen Colbert Bombards Jon Kyl with Non-Factual Statements (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Apr 13th 2011 5:00AM
Last week, Jon Kyl claimed during a speech on the floor of Congress that abortion is "over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does." Well, it turns out Planned Parenthood only dedicates three percent of their total services to abortion, so Kyl's office released a clarification stating that what Kyl said was "not intended to be a factual statement."
On 'The Colbert Report' (weekdays, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), Steven Colbert took that mind-bending excuse and ran with it.
Among his tweets: For the past ten years Jon Kyl has been two children in a very convincing Jon Kyl suit. Of course, the statement would be libelous, if not for the hashtag NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement.
Colbert's Twitter fans followed suit, bombarding Kyl with otherwise libelous non-facts at the rate of 46 per minute. Among them: Jon Kyl throws babies at the elderly.
