Anna Trebunskaya & Sugar Ray Leonard, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Sugar Ray Leonard may not have looked all broken up about his elimination from 'Dancing with the Stars' this week, but the competition did matter to him. As a boxer, competition is something that's in his blood, so it's hard to imagine him not caring, as Jimmy Kimmel suggested on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).

"An Olympic gold medalist, boxing champion over and over and over again," Kimmel said detailing some of Leonard's achievements. So, of 'DWTS': "Who cares, really? Right?"

"I care," Leonard responded. "I wanted to win."

Leonard was as congenial, sweet and soft-spoken as ever but you could see that it did matter to him. "My heart hurts," he said of his elimination.

When you're a world-class athlete who's used to training, working hard and then achieving your goals at the end of your journey, getting cut short like this would be extremely difficult to handle. But Leonard handled it with his usual grace and humility.

Kimmel walked through some of the opponents he defeated as a boxer, and then said he got beat by Kirstie Alley. "How did this happen?" he quipped.

Leonard laughed it off and gave props to Alley. "She was tough," he said. "She was real tough."
