Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson Bring Their Platinum Hit to 'American Idol' (VIDEO)

'American Idol' (Thu., 8PM ET on FOX) welcomed back its first and one of its most successful ambassadors into the world of popular music. Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson performed 'Don't You Wanna Stay' with Jason Aldean, sounding just as polished and amazing as she did when she was a contestant 10 seasons ago.It wasn't all sunshine and roses for Clarkson, though, as we also had to be reminded of her ill-conceived movie debut in 'From Justin to Kelly.' Luckily, her pairing with Aldean is proving much more popular with fans, having just reached platinum status.
Clarkson was so happy and comfortable to be back that she immediately started ribbing Ryan Seacrest for misrepresenting her Tweets on his radio show. She did admit, however, that she thinks Casey Abrams is "certainly delicious. He's cute."
If you thought Abrams and Haley Reinhart were great in their jazzy duet this evening, imagine how great an Abrams/Clarkson pairing could be.
