'Castle'
• Rock star Gene Simmons pops up as himself and the owner of the Beverly Hills mansion where the victim was living in the May 2 episode titled 'To Love and Die in L.A.' [Source: Entertainment Weekly]
• More intel about the L.A. episode: Beckett booked a hotel on a cop's salary that's located all the way out in the Valley. Since Castle has a two-bedroom suite at a high-end hotel in Beverly Hills, they'll end up together in Castle's hotel room. In other 'Castle' news, a character who's been with the series since the beginning will die in the season finale. [Source: TV Line]
'Drop Dead Diva'
Kathy Griffin will guest star in episode 8 as Kim's sister. TV Squad previously reported that episode 5, the one inspired by the Mississippi teen who was denied access to her prom because of her sexual orientation, will co-star Lance Bass as a casting director attempting to get Fred into an energy drink commercial, Clay Aiken as a witness in one of Grayson's cases about a mail-order bride scam, and Amanda Bearse as a judge. 'Modern Family'
In an upcoming episode, Mitchell wants to go to a Lady Gaga concert. Cameron is supposed to go with too, but he's sick in bed and expecting Mitch to stay home and take care of him. So Mitchell drugs him a little bit so he can sneak out and go to the concert. [Source: TV Line]
'NCIS'
Former 'Dawson's Creek' star Kerr Smith has booked a season-ending two-episode arc on the drama. Smith will play Lt. Jonas Cobb, a confident former military man. Lt. Cobb's unique talents and training will play a key role in helping the team figure out the identity of the Port-to-Port Killer. Smith will appear in the May 10 episode as well as the May 17 season finale. [Source: TV Guide]
'NCIS: LA'
Claire Forlani has just been cast in the recurring role of Lauren Hunter, the team's new Operations Manager. Hunter is described as attractive, authoritative, cool and calculating. Forlani's storyline begins on the episode airing May 10. Sources say the new operations manager and Linda Hunt's character are very much part of this season's cliffhanger and that a big question for fans will be whether Hunt will continue on the show -- as the operations manager, or doing something else -- next season.
