'The Cosby Show' Cast Reunites to Accept the TV Land Impact Award (VIDEO)

Bill Cosby and the cast of 'The Cosby Show' at '2011 TV Land Awards'It was appropriate, considering 'The Cosby Show' was the brain child of Bill Cosby, that the comedian was the only one who spoke when the cast was on stage to accept their Impact Award at the '2011 TV Land Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on TV Land). Cosby was charming and funny, lamenting that he had just watched all of his "children" drinking. Still, it would have been nice to hear from some of the other cast members.

The award was presented by Stevie Wonder, and Cosby spent a good chunk of his time riffing with the legendary musician, when we suspect fans of 'The Cosby Show' would have preferred him talk more about his inspiration for the show, how he feels the show influenced television, or even some classic Cosby grumbling about the world today.

There could have been an opportunity for the cast to take a moment to reminisce about growing up on the No. 1 show in America, and how that experience has perhaps shaped their lives since. But then again, how much could we really have heard in an award show acceptance speech?

blondattitude214....really? Hilarious because they were excited to be honored for their past accomplishments? How sad for you......obviously you yourself have never done anything noteworthy that any of your peers, much less folks from their era, would/will ever note nor honor. Go suck a lemon.

No Lisa Bonet? Must be Bill trying to STILL control the cast members lives (he once told Malcolm, in REAL life, that he was not permitted to wear an earring).

I thought the entire show was THE most ridiculous awards presentation I've ever seen. To see those folks so beside themselves with excitement from appearing in sitcoms from the dark ages was hilarious. The highlight was Stevie Wonder; the only true talent on the show. The rest were just giddy with excitement and it's easy to see why most haven't been seen or heard from since. Regis Philbin and Michael J. Fox were wonderful and the epitome of charm and class. If the cast from "The Facts of Life" and "Welcome Back Kotter" didn't make you shudder (and be embarrassed for them), nothing would.
