Jeff Ross Roasts Charlie Sheen on Tour ... This Special Needs to Happen (VIDEO)

Just when Charlie Sheen's Violent Torpedo of Truth was headed towards complete implosion, it's been saved by comedian and Roastmaster General Jeff Ross.

For the past few nights of the tour, Ross has assumed the role of traveling roaster, saving paying audiences from having to listen to Sheen's rambling storytelling and finally giving people what they've really wanted all along: the unadulterated joy that comes from laughing your tail off at Charlie Sheen's expense.

It's a development that raises the possibility that Ross could parlay this tour into an-all out, official Friar's Club Roast on Comedy Central, which has the potential to turn into one of the most hilarious, out-of-control television events ever.

The most recent roast of Donald Trump was a huge ratings success, drawing 3.5 million viewers, and that was before he started his crazy birther tour. Is there any chance a Sheen roast wouldn't double or triple those numbers? Our only concern is that, given how effective Sheen has been at commoditizing his meltdown, that they might put the thing on Pay-Pay-View. Still, we'd probably have to order it anyway.

Ross and Bill Simmons discussed how monumental a Sheen roast would be in a wide-ranging conversation the two had on The Sports Guy podcast a few weeks ago.

Now, at least from the outside, it looks like it might be a step closer to happening. Check out some YouTube footage of Ross roasting Sheen, and join us in hoping Ross can convince the warlock to let him put the real thing together.
