Robert Pattinson Tells 'Kimmel' He Loved the MC Hammer Cartoon as a Kid (VIDEO)

Robert Pattinson, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Robert Pattinson loved American cartoons as a kid. And he has a very specific one he remembers fondly. 'Hammerman,' starring MC Hammer, ran on ABC for only 13 episodes. But it must have resonated with a young Pattinson, as he was still talking about it on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).

Kimmel had heard about this in advance. Through surely one of the strangest acts of fate in history, he revealed, "Somebody who works here at the show happens to have an original animation cel from the Hammer cartoon, which we have now stolen off the wall of his office."

The cel was given to Pattinson, who declared it "the best thing I've ever got on any show."

He then shared a story about Hammer that may or may not be true, but we're with Kimmel in hoping that it is. "He apparently did a tour of Australia, and the only thing he brought with him was a suitcase filled with batteries and a suitcase filled with KFC," Pattinson said.

Yes, it makes absolutely no sense and the story is only one sentence long, but we still love it. What would have made the bit even better would have been for Kimmel to have Hammer on hand and have him walk out with those suitcases after Pattinson told that story.
