Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Plans for Recording an Album on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 22nd 2011 10:00AM
Gwyneth Paltrow stopped by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and discussed the possibility of making an album. According to Paltrow, she hasn't signed a recording contract yet, but she's seriously considering it. She just needs to work up the courage first, though.

"I kind of have to get my head around the concept of it and how I would want to do it," she said. "All the singing I've been doing has been coming out of 'Country Strong' or 'Glee.' So, I sort of think, 'Well, how would I do that, just a record by myself?' It feels a little scary to me, but I would like to in theory. We'll see."

Paltrow said she appreciates many different kinds of music, but doubts her album would be "really poppy."

"Not like a Britney Spears thing?" asked Ellen DeGeneres.

"Not totally," Paltrow replied. "She's cornered that market."
