Joy Tries to Inject Politics Into Discussion About the Tooth Fairy on 'The View' (VIDEO)

During an innocent discussion by Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the loss of her daughter's first tooth on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Joy Behar made her best attempt to start a political argument by referring to the "birther" movement which openly questions President Barack Obama's citizenship.

"[My daughter] has this tooth that's wildly loose. It's just, like, hanging on my a string. So, I'm nervous. I'm like, 'I've got to get prepared before this thing falls out,'" said Hasselbeck. "So I tweeted, 'What's a tooth going for?' and 'Any new ideas for the tooth fairy?' I haven't done this before."

"Did you also try to find out if the tooth fairy has a birth certificate?" interrupted Behar.

"Why must you start? We were having a nice time talking about the children!" chided Mario Cantone.
