Cee Lo Green and Carson Daly on Why 'The Voice' Is Less Pretentious Than 'Idol' (VIDEO)

Four of the hottest names in the music business -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and country star Blake Shelton -- listen to singers without seeing what they look like. If they like what they hear, they turn their chairs around.
Then comes the intriguing part: If more than one of the coaches like a singer, they fight to make their case that the singer should choose him or her as a coach. The goal? To build as strong a team of singers as possible for the competition phase of the show.
I spoke to Cee Lo and 'Voice' host Carson Daly about what separates 'The Voice' from shows like 'Idol' -- the phrase "lack of pretentiousness" was thrown around a bit -- and who is the most competitive of the four mentors. Check out the video interview after the jump.
