Marisa Tomei, Olivia Munn, Alison Pill in Talks for Aaron Sorkin's HBO Pilot, Keith Olbermann Announces New Show and More

Marisa Tomei, Alison Pill, Olivia MunnMarisa Tomei, Olivia Munn and Alison Pill are in talks to star in Aaron Sorkin's HBO pilot, currently titled 'More As the Story Develops,' which follows a cable news anchor played by Jeff Daniels.

According to Deadline, Tomei is close to signing on as MacKenzie, the executive producer of the news program.

Pill is in talks to play Maggie, an associate producer on the assignment desk, and Munn could play a financial analyst on the cable network.

In other TV news ...

Elisabeth Harnois will be a series regular on 'CSI' next season. The 'Miami Medical' actress booked a guest role in the May 5 episode, but producers continued to expand her role. Harnois plays the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann). [Deadline]

Keith Olbermann will make his Current TV debut on Monday, June 20, at 8PM. The show will still be called 'Countdown With Keith Olbermann.' [Keith Olbermann]

Ron Livingston has joined the cast of 'Game Change.' Livingston will play Mark Wallace, a senior adviser to the McCain-Palin 2008 campaign. [Deadline]

If 'Secret Circle' makes it to series, don't expect any 'Vampire Diaries' crossovers. "The witches in 'The Vampire Diaries' are not in the same universe. We're not connecting them. The 'Glee' spoiler-leaking extra has spoken out about the scandal. "I didn't even know if the girl I heard it from was joking or telling the truth," Nicole Crowther said in a statement. This sounds like all of his other shows, but the good thing is if Olivia Munn is in it I won't even give it a glance.
