It's so embarrassing when someone shows up at a social event wearing the same thing you are. Lauer explained on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC) that his attire was because he's a method anchor.Lauer is headed to London to cover the seven-hour broadcast for NBC. He then revealed to Jimmy Fallon a little trick of the trade. "My suit maker ... has ingeniously crafted a catheter inside my pant leg."
A little later in the interview, Lauer had Fallon pause for a moment.
"Test drive here," he said of the catheter. "It's working perfectly."
When Lauer first came out in his suit, Fallon was simply delighted by it. "Now you're doing the Monopoly game off-Broadway, right?" he quipped. Lauer was just as quick.
"After that, I'm doing a Planters peanut commercial," he retorted. If Lauer's this sharp and witty come Friday morning, those seven hours should just fly by.
