There's probably no one better suited than Aretha Franklin, the woman who first sang 'Respect' more than four decades ago, to give advice on love. On 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Franklin offered guidance to women currently in relationships gone sour."Don't sit at home by the telephone," said Franklin. "Put on a happy face because it ain't going to rain."
Franklin continued by telling women that they must "get out" when the spark is gone from a relationship, since that's what men typically do. "Men rarely sit at home when it's over. They are out and they are looking and checking, and you should get out and be happy and do the same," she said.
