EXCLUSIVE 'Childrens Hospital' Season 3 Sneak Peek

by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 29th 2011 3:15PM
'Childrens Hospital' doesn't return for another couple of months (season 3 premieres Thursday, June 2, midnight ET on Adult Swim), but I got the exclusive preview the first two episodes of the new season, and it's definitely worth the wait.

'Childrens Hospital' Season 3 Premiere

They don't have any trailers or clips that I can share with you yet, but I do have scoop on the episodes, including some fun guest stars, and a few exclusive photos.

The season kicks off with 'Run Dr. Lola Spratt, Run.' Unfortunately some dumb kid chose the weekend to sink in some crazy quicksand, and we all know doctors don't work on the weekends. So, Sy (Henry Winkler) has to get the gang back together for the case.

Rob Huebel & Erinn Hayes, 'Childrens Hospital'There's an amazing intro where they're all off doing their own things -- including a nice nod to 'Mission: Impossible' and 'TRON' (excuse me, a 'TRON'-like world") -- but who can resist the draw of some quicksand? We even see Jon Hamm again in a very fun cameo.

The only person missing is Dr. Lola Spratt (Erinn Hayes), the resident quicksand expert. But Lola will go to any lengths to get there on time, including beheading someone and getting animated -- literally -- for an epic running sequence.

Ken Marino & Rob Corddry, 'Childrens Hospital'In 'Ward 8,' we get introduced to a new area of the hospital thanks to our old pal Nick Offerman. Only this time he's undercover as a kid who knows all about the "Bonus" Jonas and Miley Cyrus' tattoo, but damn his Bob Seger knowledge might just get his cover blown.

Sarah Silverman also guest stars as a lady clown who, as we see in flashback, used to date a not-bald Blake Downs. (Yes, Rob Corddry with awesome hair.) In present day, our favorite clown doctor does get a big moment thanks to her. Instead of killing all his patients with laughter, he actually figures out how to heal with it.

Bonus fun:
*An accident leaves Dr. Glenn Richie (Ken Marino) handicapable, giving him a renewed connection with Chief (Megan Mullally).

*This season we get a full 14 episodes.

*Dr. Cat Black (Lake Bell) has a pee couch -- that's a couch that she pees on -- filled with kitty litter. Yep.

*Somebody's pregnant. Like really pregnant. Too bad Dr. Valerie Flame (Malin Akerman) and Dr. Owen Maestro (Rob Huebel) think she's just been doing too much opium.
