The Newly Married Royal Couple Take a Carriage Ride to Buckingham Palace (VIDEO)

In a touching tribute to his mother Princess Diana, William and Kate took their first carriage ride from Westminster Abbey after their Royal Wedding (Fri., 6AM ET on CBS) in the same State Landau carriage that carried the newly crowned Diana from her own wedding ceremony in 1981. The carriage was built for King Edward VII in 1902, making it a royal tradition in itself.Kate Middleton, the newly titled Duchess of Cambridge, was grace and poise on the carriage ride from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. She smiled graciously and waved to the euphoric crowd, looking more comfortable in this very public affair than Prince William himself, who obviously grew up very much in the spotlight.
It was announced that no wedding photographs will be made available today as the bride and groom are likely more interested in focusing on the ongoing festivities surrounding their nuptials. Luckily, virtually every angle of this ceremony has been covered with video cameras, so there should be plenty of material to tide people over until the now married Royal couple is ready to share their wedding photos.
