Jennifer Lopez told Meredith Vieira on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) that she, husband Marc Anthony and 'Idol' creator Simon Fuller are teaming up to create a "docu-journey" where they travel through Latin America and search for singers to star in a Latin music live show.

"We're going to go through Latin American to put together a Latin music show," Lopez explained. "It won't be, like, an auditioning-type show. It's not that type of thing."

When the conversation turned to 'American Idol," Lopez was noncommittal when asked if she would have made it as a young singer on the show. Lopez admitted there was a chance she might have been sent home, but she didn't entirely rule out doing well in the competition either.

"When you're auditioning, you have good days and bad days. I think if I would have had a good day, I could have made it through. And if I would have had a bad day, they would have just sent me home," said Lopez.
