The theme from 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' is easily recognizable to TV fans, but the song's forgotten lyrics are probably less so. On 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC), Dick Van Dyke himself sang the full lyric to the delight of Matt Lauer.

Van Dyke ran through the entire song without so much as a stumble, easily recalling the lyrics which were written by co-star Morey Amsterdam, but were never actually used on the show.

Once Van Dyke finished, he was greeted with warm applause from the crew, and Lauer saw the opportunity for a joke. "They're telling me we weren't rolling on that," said the anchor. "Can you do that again?"
