In terms of scares, Ellen DeGeneres is equal-opportunity. On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), DeGeneres took a break from frightening her guests and set her sights on an unfortunate control room staffer.

DeGeneres quietly crept into the nerve center for her show and put her face extremely close to a staffer, who jumped in surprise. Not content to frighten the poor man only once, DeGeneres did it a second and a third time, scaring him more and more after each attempt.

"How can you not know I'm still here?" DeGeneres laughed.

"And now I know," the man said testily.
