Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About 'Judge Judy' (Infographic)

by AOL TV Staff, posted May 5th 2011 12:20PM
We all love Judge Judy: there's nothing quite like watching her expertly dispatch with a ditzy witness in a dispute over a stolen toaster oven. This is a woman who wrote a book titled 'Don't Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It's Raining.' Yes, Judge Judy Sheindlin is an American treasure.

As her show continues with its 16th season, nearly everyone in America knows who Judge Judy is, but we'd venture that even the lawyers and paralegals among us may not know how her show actually works.

'Judge Judy' is, in fact, a legal court of law that just so happens to beat Oprah in TV ratings. Check out this infographic for more insight into the wild world of Judge Judy.

This infographic is dated already. Judge Judy has just signed a new contract with CBS Television Distribution that will keep her on the air through the year 2015 (her previous contract expired in 2013). Judge Judy kicks a$$!
