EXCLUSIVE First Look at 'The Office's' New Webisode Series

Thursday is a big day for Scranton aficionados. It marks not only the first post-Steve Carell episode of 'The Office,' but also Will Ferrell's final appearance as Deangelo on the NBC comedy. But wait, there's more: 'The Girl Next Door,' a new pair of webisodes featuring Dunder Mifflin staffers, debuts Thursday as well.
In 2009, Erin Hannon (Ellie Kemper) and Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling) formed a spandex-clad girl group called 'Subtle Sexuality,' which was notable for its complete lack of subtlety, of course.
Now the band has reformed to create more musical mayhem, and we're exclusively presenting the first full installment of 'The Girl Next Door,' in which Erin, Kelly, Ryan, Andy and Kevin recall the band's formation and the drama it created in its short-lived heydey.
They also talk up the band's new single, which is titled -- you guessed it -- 'The Girl Next Door.' In a second webisode that, like the first, will go live on NBC.com Thursday afternoon, we'll get to see that music video in all its demented glory.
But below is the first part of the new 'Office' webisode series, a 'Behind the Music'-style expose that was directed by 'Office' actor and writer Mindy Kaling and written by Kelly Hannon and Jonathan Hughes. (Part 2 was directed by Kaling and written by Hannon, Hughes and Mary Wall.)
