We previously reported 'NCIS' will incorporate Osama bin Laden's death, but the al-Quaeda leader's demise has had other affects on TV.According to Deadline, 'Happy Endings' modified a joke about bin Laden. Like 'Chuck,' the series left the joke in, but muted the punchline. In the scene, Dave (Zachary Knighton) and Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) are trying to capture a mouse.
"It's been like, four days. I can't believe you haven't caught this mouse yet," Alex said.
"I know, he's like my bin Laden. Jessica bin Laden, this super hot Arab girl I went to college with," Dave said. Then viewers heard a pause. The original line, "The one that got away," was removed.
Ethan Hawke may benefit from bin Laden's death. According to Entertainment Weekly, Hawke's Fox drama pilot about an elite CIA team that operates under the radar, has been gaining buzz.
'Exit Strategy' follows a special team who enter foreign countries without alerting the home military. The team isn't a kill squad, though -- they do rescue missions and other cleanup.
