Who Won 'The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 9th 2011 3:18AM
'The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business' FinaleIn a two-hour finale spectacular, 'The Amazing Race' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS) the game took the remaining four teams to Rio do Janeiro and then, ultimately, to Miami where the final three raced for the million-dollar prize.

For the most part, these four teams have worked pretty well together this season, so this was the first time we had to see them try to outmaneuver one another and use strategy. It's not really a strong suit for any of them.

In other words, it was kind of a toss-up as to who was going to win 'The Amazing Race' this season. Our poll last week ranked the teams as following: Gary & Mallory in first, followed by Zev & Justin, Flight Time & Big Easy and then Kisha & Jen in a distant last place. Were you right?

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Not even close. The sisters pulled out a victory in the end, which puts a rather dull wrap on a season that should have been a lot more dynamic and interesting considering these were all familiar faces. But maybe that doesn't work on 'The Amazing Race.'

Maybe we need people who've never met and never watched each other on television. That way they won't feel they "know" anyone in the race and the alliances will be more organic, and the tactics may be a bit more cutthroat than what we saw this season.

What did you think of this "All-Star" edition of the 'Race.' Are you satisfied with the winners?

Big fan of the Cowboys. Agree that sharing information should not be allowed. Even simple things like saying the box is over there should be forbidden. I was glad for the sisters, as they did seem much more capable and less angry than the first time they were on the show. Would have liked Mal and Dad to win but as long as the Trotters did not, it was fine. I would also like a return to the very early seasons when clues were a bit tricky and required some intelligence to decipher. Even something simples such as go to the Memorial of the Sixteenth President rather than the Lincoln Memorial would put some extra zip in the game.

After the cowboys lost (unjustly) I was pulling for Zev and Justin. But I have to wonder why on earth they chose to sell bikinis on the beach rather than be bartenders. Big mistake!

I too wanted the cowboys to win. They were given a rotten deal by the show. On the previous show they were the only ones to turn around and start again with the bike ride when they had the wrong number of miles. The rules said to go back and start over which they did. The others did not and should have had a penalty. Is this what the show promotes and encourages, cheating?

I think they made a mistake not letting everyone have a 30 min penalty when they told everyone but the
cowboys the answer to one of the questions.

I wanted Zev and Justin to win because they had won 4 other legs, more than any other team. If it weren't for Zev's lack of ability to dance, they would have zoomed passed the others. And if Mallory and Gary hadn't gotten a bad taxi, they would have won the entire race. They zoomed through the tasks, and caught up to the other racers, proving if they hadn't made a bad taxi choice, which is sometimes unavoidable and unknowable beforehand, they would have won. Previous races have proven - if you have a bad taxi driver, don't waste time with them, immediately look for another one, get OUT of that taxi, get IN another one, and resume racing. Mallory and Gary made the mistake of trying to get their bad taxi driver to find the marina. Then they STUCK WITH HIM for later legs. Big mistake - cost them a million dollars.

I wanted Zev and Justin to win, but it was fine with me to see the sisters win. I do think that Mallory and her dad were not wise to stay with the same cab driver. If they had changed to another driver, they may still have had a chance, but who said life is fair. It could have happened to any of the teams.

I WANTED THE COWBOYS TO WIN FROM THE GET GO. THEY WERE MY FAVORITE WHEN THEY RACED BEFORE. AFTER THEY WERE ELIMINATED, I WANTED GARY AND MALLORY TO WIN. BOTH OF THESE TEAMS PLAYED FAIRLY AND WERE VERY POSITIVE. I NEVER LIKE THE GLOBETROTTERS AND LIKED THEM LESS AFTER THEY U-TURNED THE COWBOYS. GLAD THEY DIDN'T WIN.

THE COWBOYS DECISION MAKING SKILLS, PEOPLE SKILLS AND THE WAY THEY PLAYED THE GAME MADE THEM WINNERS EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T GET THE 1 MILLION

I wish that the cowboys had not been eliminated and had won the race, they really should have won the first time, but that being said I wish that Gary and Mallory would have won. They played fairly and because of the cab driver lost the race. The Globetrotters were rude, liars and cheaters. They should have been kicked off the race long ago and I am very glad that they did not win.

Grow up. They lost. You must have forgotten the time when Gary and mallory intentionally misled when in India but were given helpful info or assistance by other teams Or are you failing to remember that there were other teams whose positions were diminished because of cab drivers. Not to mention the Goths rudeness. I wanted the cowboys to win but they didn't and i won't bad mouth anyone because they didn't.

The show should provide the drivers for the contestants at each leg of the race.Otherwise let it be a NO RIDE race.
