The $10,000 Decision That Could Change the Game on 'Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

The results of this week's weigh-in determine the Final Four on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), which is the culmination of the contestants' work on the show. From there, two are definitely into the finale while the other two fight for America's vote. So this week was the last week your peers could vote you out.Add that to the fact that you're smaller than you've ever been, and that a one-pound advantage can make a huge difference on the scale. But is it worth $10,000? Two contestants this week were given that very choice.
!!SPOILER ALERT!!
The theme was Exams Week, and it saw the contestants being tested by each of the four trainers and a final X-BOX 360 Kinect challenge with Alison. The combined totals of those five "exams" netted Olivia a cool $10,000.
Later, in the physical challenge, it was Austin who walked away with a one-pound advantage. But at the weigh-in, Alison gave them both a choice: Take $10,000 or the one-pound advantage.
Austin decided to go for the better shot at making the Final Four, while Olivia saw the $10,000 as a blessing and opted to keep it. Jillian didn't understand it, as it increased her risk of going below the yellow line with her sister. The pair wanted to make the Final Four together.
In the end, Olivia's weight loss was barely enough to stave off her worst case scenario, but Austin's horrible performance at the weigh-in saved her and sent him home. A one-pound advantage just doesn't do enough to improve a one-pound loss on the scale. Especially when everyone else did very well indeed.
