Geoffrey Rush Doesn't Method Act for Fear His Best Work Will Be Off-Camera (VIDEO)

You hear the stories all the time about actors who don't break character during film shoots. It's a style known as method acting, but it's not something Geoffrey Rush subscribes to, according to 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central)."I'm a character actor," he said. He prefers to embody that role when the cameras are rolling and step away from it when they're not. In defending his stance, Rush brought up a good point.
"What happens if you give your best performance at the craft services table?" he asked Stephen Colbert.
Imagine trying to recreate that moment on the set and having to explain to the director that you could probably do it if you had sandwich in one hand and a packet of chips in the other. In fact, can we just shift this over to the table; I'll feel much more natural.
