Albert Brooks Admits He's Still Obsessed With Kate Middleton on 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 12th 2011 4:17AM
Albert Brooks, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'The death of Osama Bin Laden did a lot to overshadow the blanket coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. But Albert Brooks isn't over it yet. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), he admitted he "can't stop thinking about this Kate Middleton."

"I dream about her," he said. "I think about her. I want to be her first Jew."

Brooks couldn't even take time to talk about his new book '2030: The Real Story of What Happens to America.' It was as if he simply had to get this obsession of his off his chest, and Jon Stewart's show was just the place to do it.

"What is it about [her]?" Stewart asked. "Is it the live youthfulness of her?"

"It's the horses with those hats they have," Brooks said. Well, we have to admit we loved the hats, too.

Pleasantnnow... You are clearly a cretin who wouldn't know a droll comment if it bit you. That's not a crime, but your raging anti-Jewish comments cause me to wonder if you are either a neo-Nazi, KKK or merely married to a first cousin and the by-product of inbred recessive genes for extreme ignorance. As a Christian, I can assure you that a special place in h-ll awaits you...perhaps the sooner the better. Or perhaps your intolerance could land you a cabinet level post in Libya? You and Mr Gadaffi sound like indeed spirits. Adieu my ignorant friend!

That's just offensive. What is it about the times in which we live that comedians no longer understand that what is offensive is not always funny, and artists no longer understand that what is offensive is not automatically art?

To carolyneinsd who's comment above was.........."and stewert is a jackass no talent POS and his show stinks lol', THEN why do you watch if Stewart stinks so badly?

Kate is such a beauty...and with Diane's blood in there, it is hopeful that QUEEN OUTFIT will end up with beautiful children afterall. William and Harry are a good start!

Once again, the writer of this article (like so many on AOL, Popeater, and the like), can't write. Jon Stewart says "lithe" not "live" as the writer has transposed. This writer probably does not even understand the definition of "lithe".

As far as Albert Brooks is concerned, this is obviously a comedy bit rooted in a bit of truth (Kate IS lovely, and there's nothing wrong with admitting that.) And, if you don't like Jon Stewart, I suggest you don't watch his show or video clips from his show. Let's not make too big a deal out of this. Yikes.

Gee. Let me get this straight. A 63 year old man is obsessed over a 29 year old woman. Don't they call that "dirty old man"?

There would not have been anything wrong had he confessed to finding her attractive. Suggesting that a newly married woman looks foward to a succession of lovers, possibly including him (and based on his ethnicity, no less!), is in extremely poor taste to say the least. Yes, I understand he was attempting a joke. He did not succeed.

Brooks is a talented comedic actor. I enjoyed his performances in Broadcast News and Defending Your Life.

He was great in those movies! But whatever he had going for him, it's gone.
