'Dancing With the Stars' Pro Rushed to Hospital
'Dancing With the Stars' pro Kym Johnson, whose partner is front-runner Hines Ward, suffered an undisclosed injury today while rehearsing for next week's performance show.Apparently the couple took a nasty tumble at the rehearsal studio, reports E! Online, and it was bad enough that Johnson was rushed to the hospital on a stretcher while wearing an oxygen mask as her distraught partner looked on.
As the remaining contestants head into the semi-finals, Johnson's injury could potentially be a crushing blow to the Pittsburgh Steeler, who has impressed the judges and topped the leaderboard week after week.
Luckily, the situation sounds optimistic, as Johnson's rep says, "she's doing OK" and she was just sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Guess we'll find out what's really up this Monday night, when the final four once again hit the dance floor.
OFFICIAL UPDATE FROM 'DWTS' PRODUCTION:
"Kym Johnson was admitted to the hospital today immediately after falling and injuring her neck during practice. After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff, though she is bruised, sore and currently wearing a neck brace. Kym plans to continue with Hines Ward in the competition and resume rehearsals as soon as possible."
'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mondays at 8PM ET and Tuesdays at 9PM ET on ABC.
