Kate Hudson Says Dad Kurt Russell Chose When to Enforce the Rules (VIDEO)
Kate Hudson feels she's more like her father, Kurt Russell, as a stricter disciplinarian. But the story she told on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) made him out as more of a circumstantially strict parent. Sometimes the rules apply, but other times they don't.When she was 15 or 16, Russell caught her watching 'The Exorcist' and he allowed it, praising the movie as "one of the best movies ever, ever made." But later, when she was watching 'Major League,' he couldn't have that. "It's Rated R," he told her. "Do you know how old you are?"
Of course, he may have allowed her to watch 'The Exorcist' at such a young age knowing that the experience of watching it while still so impressionable was far greater a punishment than anything he could think of.
Jimmy Kimmel, however, had a different theory. "If you have to leave your daughter with the devil or Charlie Sheen, I think you're going with the devil."
