The 5 Best TVR Clips of the Week: Al Roker Gaffes, Busey Names Babies & More (VIDEO)

It was a great week for TV clips. We watched Al Roker botch the weather, Lady Gaga freak out the 'Idol' contestants she was mentoring, and Regis contemplate joining 'Dancing With the Stars.'

We also finally found out where all those weird celebrity baby names come from, and were treated to a heartwarming reunion between Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke.

Everyone loves a good Al Roker gaffe. They don't happen often, but when they do, they can be glorious. Such was the case Monday as Al attempted to say "If you want to keep track of your weather all day," but instead it came out as a bunch of garbled jibberish and he collapsed with laughter. We did too.


Speaking of lovably gaffe-prone daytime TV hosts, Regis Philbin receieved an offer this week to join 'Dancing With the Stars.' In this clip, he weighs the offer, wondering if he'll have to wear spandex every day and eventually demanding he be paired with with Derek Hough. We're just hoping this doesn't end with a broken hip.


Lady Gaga was the celebrity mentor on 'American Idol' this week, and thoroughly freaked out country contestant Scotty McCreery with some of her microphone-related pointers. The odd couple made for some hilariously awkward moments. We'll be keeping our eyes open for that McCreery-Gaga duet album, coming to stores never.


Ever wonder where celebrities get all those wild ideas for their unconventional baby names? A sketch this week on Jimmy Kimmel revealed the true source of their inspiration: Gary Busey. Yes, when he's not fighting Meat Loaf on the 'Celebrity Apprentice' or hanging out on 'Celebrity Rehab,' Gary Busey has a side-job: naming celebrity babies. Any pregnant couples out there interested in retaining his services? Please call him; he's very lonely.

We'll end on a positive note: the heartwarming reunion Rachael Ray hosted this week between Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke. Earlier in the day, news had broke that Moore would need to undergo surgery to remove a benign brain tumor, and it seemed this reunion lifted her spirits. It certainly was great for us to watch: the two legends back together again, reminiscing about the good times, and how people used to think they were actually married because of their acting on 'The Dick Van Dyke Show.'
