Kym Johnson Doesn't Let a Horrible Neck Injury Slow Her Down on 'DWTS' (VIDEO)
It was a night of miracles, and perfect scores, on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). The most harrowing scene we saw was a catastrophic injury in rehearsal between Hines Ward and Kym Johnson."It was a difficult move," Ward said. "I was supposed to swing her through my legs and lift her up and all my weight just came down on the back of her neck."
Johnson was rushed to the hospital and had to practice in a neck brace, but amazingly she was recovered and ready to go by Monday's performance episode. And then, the pair went out and scored a perfect 30 for their opening Tango.
Even a near nip-slip after the performance didn't shake their resolve, as they went on and did it again, closing out the show with another perfect score for their Salsa. It was a dominant night for a couple who'd been so close to having to withdraw from the competition because of injury.
