Sigourney WeaverSigourney Weaver has booked a guest role on HBO's new Tea Leoni pilot, 'Spring/Fall.'

According to Deadline, Weaver will play a very "authoratative" fashion editor.

In September, Weaver told Moviefone that she wasn't quite ready to book a starring role on a TV series. However, she wasn't ready to rule it out.

"If the right thing came along, I'd jump at it," she said. "To be a part of a wonderful -- I think it would have to be a comedy or I wouldn't like it -- to be part of a comic ensemble that gets to work together for a long time is just ... what a wonderful idea."

Jessica Hecht, Matt Letscher, Jason Antoon and Marin Hinkle have also joined 'Spring/Fall.' Hope Davis and Tea Leoni star as two women who have a dysfunctional friendship in the world of fashion.

In other casting news ...

Ana Alexander, Chad Everett and Sally Kellerman will star in 'Chemistry.' The 13-episode Cinemax series tells the story of a couple who have a very strong attraction to each other. [Deadline]

This show has a single, but really significant flaw in terms of how it stands up in comparison to the original. (and this isn't just a case of applying nostalgic gloss to old memories) Those characters from "back when" were . . . how to put this, . . . grown-ups, ya' know? As opposed to really pretty (that applies to both genders here) self-absorbed post-adolescents. http://bit.ly/lqu5Oo
