Did Betty White Kill Osama Bin Laden? (VIDEO)

Viewers got to see a new and totally unexpected side of veteran actress Betty White on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS).

Did she really command the elite squad that killed Osama Bin Laden?

When host Craig Ferguson announced that his next guest was "The leader of the elite Navy SEAL Team 6, Captain White," we could have been forgiven for expecting to see a big, strapping macho guy. Imagine our surprise when we saw none other than 'The Golden Girls' star. Is there no end to the woman's talents?

Talking about the daring raid on Bin Laden's compound in Pakistan, White set a somber mood by saying "It was really dark, I couldn't see anything," but then joked that, "I realized that my helmet was on backwards."

White then went on to contradict reports that the squad had been given a "kill" order against Bin Laden. "We were supposed to take him alive but ... you put a gun in Betty White's hand and she just starts shooting!" Oops!

So, that's the true story of what happened to Bin Laden. At least, according to Betty White it is.
