Tony Shalhoub said he doesn't gamble on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37 AM ET on CBS), but he does dabble in the stock market. As such, he took a bit of a hit on his investments during the recent economic downturn. But when Shalhoub turned it around and asked Craig Ferguson if he'd taken a hit on his own stock portfolio when the market dropped, Ferguson laughed it off. "What do you mean like investments?" he laughed.
"This is my investment," Ferguson clarified, gesturing toward Geoff Peterson. "A robot. That's my investment."
"So you did take a hit," Shalhoub said.
We don't think that's fair, though. Geoff is a tremendous asset to the show, and he keeps Craig from getting too lonely during the show. Plus, he's shiny which means what dim lighting their is reflects off of him and makes the studio a bit less gloomy. To sum up, Ferguson saved on lighting and got a friend. That's a brilliant investment!
