Happy National Waiter & Waitress Day! A Salute to Our TV Favorites

If the world hasn't ended yet (fingers crossed!), we should all take our final minutes to celebrate National Waiters and Waitresses Day.Besides leaving an extra-large tip when you finish eating at your favorite establishment, what better way to honor those who serve our food than to fondly remember some of TV's beloved waiters and waitresses?
Whether they're sardonic caterers or a friendly neighborhood fixture, TV has given us some great food servicemen and women.
We've highlighted some of our favorites -- certainly not all of the best out there -- as our virtual thanks to the men and women who make our dining out experiences grand.
Henry, Casey, Lydia, Kyle, Ron, Constance and Roman, 'Party Down'
Washed up actors, failed writers and other folks chasing the dream strapped on those pink bowties and served food and drink to their snotty peers. Cranky, sarcastic, ever-hopeful and everything in between, it was hard not to root for these caterers on the Starz comedy.
Arlene, 'True Blood'
Sassy and Southern -- you can't ask for anything better, right? Arlene has had it a little rough, but we're still hoping for her happy ending. Aside from Sookie, she's one of the only surviving waitresses at Merlotte's!
Luke, 'Gilmore Girls'
From the backwards cap to the gruff exterior, it was hard not to love the adorably grumpy Luke. Wouldn't you want to be greeted with coffee on a regular basis and seemingly never pay a dime for delicious diner food? Plus, without Luke, we'd have no Luke and Lorelai.
Gunther, 'Friends'
Poor, very blond Gunther. The glue that held Central Perk together never got much respect, though his unrequited love for Rachel earned him a spot in the hearts of fans worldwide. Fun fact: James Michael Tyler appeared as Gunther in more than 130 episodes during the 10-season run of 'Friends.'
Alice, 'Alice'
You don't get much more classic than Alice. Linda Lavin warmed the hearts of millions for nine seasons. We would be more than happy to end up at a roadside diner with Alice as our server any day. Honorable mentions to Vera and Flo, of course.
Tell us: Who is your favorite TV waiter/waitress?
