Another 'Bachelor' Breakup as Emily Maynard Hands Back the Ring

Rumors have been circulating for a while now that all was not well between 'Bachelor' stars Emily Maynard and Brad Womack. Now we hear that Maynard's returned her engagement ring.

Us Weekly reports that Maynard was spotted running errands in Charlotte, N.C., without the rock Womack presented to her on 'The Bachelor' finale, with an insider confirming that she has returned it to ABC.

Sources claim that the couple's long-distance relationship was just too hard to continue, with a source telling 'Us,' "It's completely over now."

Maynard is reported to have initiated the breakup, which happened about two weeks ago after she visited Womack's home in Austin, Texas, in a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship.

"Emily is happy in Charlotte [North Carolina] and is not moving to Austin with [her 5-year-old daughter] Ricki," a source told 'Us.' "She is content."

The breakup comes as no surprise to those keeping tabs on the reality couple. Trouble has been brewing in paradise since the March finale, where the couple's body language gave some clues into their icy relationship.

Who knows, maybe third time's a charm for Womack?

Emily will never find anyone because her love died in the plane. Actually, we don't even know if Emily could have handled a relationshio with her baby's daddy. So emily should not look for love. Love will never be what your dreams tell you, Reality sets in and then your dream is never what you thought it was to begin with.

I think the only reason Brad chose Emily was because she was blond. I'm glad I'm not white, dating white men who have an obsession with blond hair. It was so evident from the get-go that Emily had no passion for Brad. Chantelle and Ashley were so into him. So why choose the one girl that was so obviously unattached and cold to him? Because she's a blond? He deserved what he got. They're both shallowed and got to enjoy paid vacations, clothes, fun. Now Ashley is embarrassing herself by falling for Bentley. She's either very stupid or this was planned to make the show more interesting. Bentley and Emily are a good pair. Brad... you lost out on two really good choices for being so blind. After all blonde comes in a box anyway.

Why is it expected that Emily give up her life (and her daughter's) to move to Austin? Obviously they're roots are in North Carolina and her daughter's extended family is an important part of both their lives. Why couldn't Brad move? If he loves her as much as he says he does, maybe he should try a little compromise! I think he's only thinking of himself...again. Do we really need to give him another pitch before calling him OUT?

You're absolutely right Cheryl. I think the problem with it was in her leading him to believe that she would move, thus the proposal.

WHAT A SURPRISE!!! Brad is a jerk and Emily is emotionally stinted. Why are you forcing us to watch this CRAP! Put some better shows on. Enough already. Your success ended way back with Trista and Ryan. You should have quit while you were ahead.
