House Loses His Mind When He Sees Cuddy With Another Man on Season Finale (VIDEO)

'House' season finale - 'Moving On'Executive producer Greg Yaitanes said fans would be shocked by the last five minutes of this season finale of 'House' (Mon., 8PM ET on FOX) and he was right. If what we saw was real, it was certainly a stunning development in the lives of House, Cuddy and even Wilson, peripherally.

Now that we know Lisa Edelstein won't be returning to the series next week, we have to also look at this moment as her swan song, and it's certainly easy to understand why Cuddy would want to disappear.

In a moment of drug-addled jealousy, House drove a car through her living room -- while she was hosting a dinner party -- with no regard for the four people in the house, including Cuddy. And then he simply walked away with a little self-satisfied smile on his face.

How can he possibly come back from an act so heinous and criminal? He could go down for attempted murder easily on this one. Do you think 'House' jumped the shark or was this a brilliant moment in his character arc?

Still wracking my brains to figure out where the writers and showrunners thought they could go from here -- if it turns out to be a drug addled dream, well that's just falling back on a stale plot device they've used before. If it turns out he really did it, then like the reviewers mentions above -- he's on the line for attempted murder. And even if he gets it reduced to aggravated assault, his past drug infractions coupled like this would almost assure he loses his license for good. Suspension of disbelief is one thing, but there's simply no buying that he could stroll back into the hospital next season -- with or without cuddy -- and expect to continue working.

Lisa Edelstein is an incredibly smart woman to have jumped ship from this show. What a ridiculously unbelievably stupid finale, which has now turned out to be my series finale. I would be interested in watching a Wilson & Cuddy spinoff, maybe with a bit of Chase though.
The only thing I felt throughout the whole finale was a little bit of happiness for Cuddy for moving on.
I thank the producers of the show for making my parting with the show so easy and look forward to hopefully seeing Lisa Edelstein in a role worthy of her talents.
