Charlie Sheen Won't be Appearing in 'Entourage'

'Entourage' creator Doug Ellin recently admitted that he would love former 'Two and a Half Men' star Charlie Sheen to appear on the show's series finale later this summer. "I called his manager and was told maybe I'd get him," Ellin told TV Guide. "But I'm still waiting for Charlie to call me back. I'd come up with something good."

But apparently Sheen never made that call and now Ellin says he's run out of time. In an interview with 'Entertainment Weekly' he says "I never heard back. Looks like it will not be happening. I could have come up with some good stuff. I didn't really plan anything, but I would have."

The cast and crew of 'Entourage' are halfway through shooting the final season, and Ellin says he's writing the script for the last-ever episode. So even if Sheen calls him now, there's no way he can be fitted in.

Set in the world of Hollywood stars and their agents, 'Entourage' is renowned for its roster of big-name guest stars, some of whom play characters in the show, and some of whom who play themselves. Previous seasons have featured stars like Val Kilmer, Larry David, U2, Scarlett Johansson, 50 Cent and LeBron James.

Guest stars confirmed for the upcoming Season 8 include Alex Rodriguez, Christian Slater, Johnny Galecki and Andrew Dice Clay.

Sheen's made no secret of his desire to return to TV -- possibly with a show on HBO -- but has kept a lower profile since news broke that he's been replaced on the 'Two and a Half Men' couch by Ashton Kutcher.
