Judge Judy Rules in Case of Stolen Jewelry (VIDEO)

Judge Judy Sheindlin is not a trusting sort. She's also somewhat gruff, which is a great trait for a TV judge. So when a defendant on 'Judge Judy' (weekdays, syndicated) said that she didn't owe the plaintiff anything because the jewelry she had been given to sell had been stolen from her car, Judge Judy didn't buy it.Linda, the plaintiff, gave Cynthia, the defendant, some jewelry to sell on consignment. Though she had a woman with who she claimed was acting as security, the jewelry was stolen from Cynthia's car at a gas station. Judge Judy motioned to a woman sitting next to Cynthia and asked if that were her security. Cynthia said yes. "Is she licensed to carry a firearm?" Judge Judy asked. The answer was no. "Then she's your buddy," said the Judge.
To top it off, one of the plaintiff's pieces had already been sold. Needless to say, the ruling went for the plaintiff. "If you would steal $500, you would scam out of $5,000," said the Judge, addressing Cynthia. Also, it may be time for her to acquire a new security guard/buddy.
