Sarah Silverman is eying a return to TV.The comedienne is working on a new script with her 'The Sarah Silverman Program' collaborators Jon Schroeder and Dan Sterling. According to the Hollywood Reporter, if the show makes it to pilot, Silverman would star.
While there is no network currently attached to the project, the script contract is with Imagine Television, which is in an exclusive deal with 20th Century Fox Television.
Comedy Central was home to 'The Sarah Silverman Program' for three seasons. Besides her starring vehicle, Silverman's other TV work includes a recent guest star role on 'The Good Wife,' voices on 'Bob's Burgers' and 'The Simpsons' and a handful of episodes of 'Monk.'
Now seems like a good time for Silverman to return to scripted TV. Her script deal comes hot on the heels of several series orders from female comics, including NBC's 'Whitney,' 'Best Friends Forever' and 'Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea' and CBS's '2 Broke Girls.'
