Elisabeth Hasselbeck Calls Out Sarah Palin (VIDEO)

Elisabeth Hasselbeck talks about Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin on 'The View'The race for the Republican nomination for president is a bit of a circus right now, with potential candidates looking for the right time and situation to announce, and trying to assess their chances. Mitt Romney unveils his candidacy today in New Hampshire, and today on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), Elisabeth Hasselbeck declared her support for Romney and blamed Sarah Palin's much-hyped bus tour for distracting people from more substantial matters.

"If I had termites in my house, I'd get someone in there who could deal with it," said Hasselbeck. "Mitt Romney, right now, his specialty is the economy. I'd have him in there. Here's why we're not hearing it: because Sarah Palin's on a bus, and right now she's manipulating in terms of media attention."

Joy Behar said Romney was suffering because his health-care plan in Massachusetts is similar to the one signed by President Obama, but Hasselbeck brushed that off by suggesting people read Romney's book, which delineates the supposed differences between the plans. The conversation got heated enough that Whoopi Goldberg had to jump in and make everyone break for commercial.

It's been over for the View a long time ago, why are they still on the air? Barbara needs to retire, Whoopi needs a new hair do!!!!!, Liz needs to stay home and care for her kids and the other one needs a life!!

Palin is not the answer. She's not going to do anything different than all the rest. Everyone though Obama was going to be radically different -- he's not. No politician, who wants to be elected, is going to make "the perks vanish." It has never happened in recorded American history. What makes people think its going to start with Palin??? I know its good to have hope, but I have yet to see ANYONE who lives up to the hype!
