'Daily Show': Sarah Palin Stands By Her Version of Paul Revere Story (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Sarah Palin is one thing for certain, and that is certain. She is absolutely determined to never admit she was wrong, to stand by her convictions, her family and her words. And that is one of the reasons people are so divisive about her, according to 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central).

Jon Stewart played the clip of Palin describing Paul Revere's famous ride to the media. She said, "He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells."

Now clearly she's got the general idea of it right, and she probably has the story closer to accuracy than many Americans could come up with on the spot. It's how she responded later when she was advised she'd "messed up about Paul Revere."

"You know what? I didn't mess up about Paul Revere," Palin explained, going into a long explanation of how her story fit in with the story as most people know it. She also said it was a candid response to a "gotcha" question.

The "gotcha" question? "What have you seen so far today and what are you going to take away from your visit?"

If we've learned anything recently in the political world, just come out right away and admit when you're wrong. "Oops! I was wrong." It's not so hard, and people can be more forgiving than you might think.
