The Money Flies on the Season Premiere of 'White Collar' (VIDEO)

Our own Mo Ryan called 'White Collar' (Tue., 9PM ET on USA) one of the best-directed shows on cable in her early review of this season premiere. Certainly, the argument can be made for the beauty of the "money shot" alone.

The slow build-up to the reveal of the $60 million Neal's old pal knew was still stashed within the air ducts of the Gramercy Fencing Club made the explosion that much more satisfying.

Perhaps redirecting additional flow to only two air ducts so it would blow out the money isn't the cleanest way to retrieve it, but the visual of the bills flying out as the two men looked on was simply stunning.

It was a great metaphor for Neal's constant moral struggle as well. Here is ill-gotten money raining down on him, and yet in this instance he's doing the right thing. Money would be easier to work with than the stolen paintings he and Mozzie are holding onto, and yet it's not going to be the easy path for Neal this season.

Helping with this case almost got Neal out of the hot seat with Peter, but it's going to take more than just playing ball a few times to wipe off that suspicion. And Peter's pretty good at this, so it'll be interesting to see which one of them comes out on top in this.
