'CMT Music Awards' Goes 'Thelma and Louise' For Intro, List of Winners (VIDEO)

Shania Twain & Taylor Swift, 'CMT Music Awards 2011'Twenty years later, 'Thelma & Louise' still resonates in our popular culture. Taylor Swift was one year old when the movie first came out, but she still took to a fun revamp of it with gusto for the opening of the 'CMT Music Awards 2011' (Wed., 8PM ET on CMT).

Shania Twain played Louise to Swift's Thelma as the girls headed out on a cross-country crime spree so impressive Donald Trump wanted to harness their power to control the world.

The bit also featured some other fun guest appearances along the way, including Chord Overstreet and Kenny Rogers as a crusty old pervert.

That car crash must have unsettled Twain a bit, as she stumbled and fell on her way out to present an award, but she recovered graciously and the show went on, including several fun performances and mash-ups, like The Band Perry inserting a bit of Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie' into their 'You Lie' single, and Ludacris joining Jason Aldean on stage.

What was your favorite performance?
