Kelsey Grammer played a comedic character for a long time on 'Cheers' and 'Frasier,' but this fall, he'll return to television as a complicated, driven Chicago mayor in Starz's new drama 'Boss.'Along with our partners at Huffington Post, we can exclusively reveal that 'Boss' will debut at 10PM ET on Oct. 21.
We've also got an exclusive first look at the teaser poster for the show and a video clip for the drama, which also stars Martin Donovan, Kathleen Roberston and Connie Nielsen.
Here's Starz's description of 'Boss': "Ruthless politician Mayor Tom Kane (Grammer) sits like a spider at the center of Chicago's web of power. But underneath it all, Kane hides a crushing secret. His trusted advisors Kitty O'Neill (Roberston) and Ezra Stone (Donovan) know better than to ask questions. Kane's wife Meredith (Nielsen) knows nothing. Only Emma (Hannah Ware), Kane's estranged daughter, has a chance of uncovering the truth. This is going to be the toughest term yet for the Boss."
The show began production in April, and the pilot for 'Boss' was directed by Gus Van Sant. Here's the first look at Grammer in the role:
