Julie Benz Is Going to Play a Lesbian Farmer on 'Royal Pains'

Julie Benz is trading in her superpowers for life on the farm. The former 'No Ordinary Family' star will pop up on 'Royal Pains.'

According to TV Guide, Benz will play a lesbian farmer on the hit USA Network show.

Benz will play Elyse, a wife to Anna and mother to Libby, who needs Dr. Hank's (Mark Feuerstein) help after a farming accident.

Benz's 'Royal Pains' episode airs August 3.

The 'Dexter' veteran previously played a lesbian stripper on 'Desperate Housewives.'

Benz can next be seen in CBS's 'A Gifted Man,' Fridays this fall. She'll play sister to Patrick Wilson's main character, a doctor who begins to see visions of his dead ex-wife.
