Nick Jonas: Jonas Brothers Not Breaking Up, But Focusing on Solo Projects for Now (VIDEO)

Nick Jonas on 'The View'Rest easy, America: The Jonas Brothers are not breaking up. This is according to Nick Jonas, a Jonas Brother and also leader of Nick Jonas and the Administration, who was interviewed Friday on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC). The individual Jonases (Joni?) are all working on solo projects right now, like Nick's involvement with a talent competition sponsored by Quaker Chewy. But they have not split permanently.

"No, no, no, no, no," said Jonas, when asked by Sheri Shepherd if the Jonas Brothers were no more. "We're just taking some time to do some individual projects and enjoy kind of that journey that each of us are on. It's exciting, you know, we're all doing different things and kind of taking those experiences and then we'll come back and do something soon."

Jonas said that his focus this summer has been working with and producing other artists, which is why he got involved with the Chewy project, which is looking for the "next superstar" age eight to 14. He said specifically he is looking for someone who is as passionate about music as he was at that age, all those years ago.

There brothers,,,they can't really break up, there just not performing together. The Jackson 5 never really broke up their composition and name chaged. Now the Doobie Brothers would be something different.

I think that they just are focusing on their individual solo albums and don't want to do a group album at this moment. And they can't do those cute teen pop songs like they used to. Groups do have to grow up sometimes in the music and the songwriting. One of them is doing a very slick pop album with urban landscapes, almost closest to what Jesse McCartney did 3 years ago with his 2008 Departure album.
